People think I must be crazy for homeschooling nine kids. I can’t say I blame them. A decade ago, I would’ve thought the same thing.
Let’s face it. Not only can it be just a tad chaotic trying to keep a slew of extremely active children under control, but the preparation for a large-family homeschool can be time consuming. Really time consuming.
As much as we love to use notebooking in our routine, printing out all of those pages feels like it takes forever. And the fact that my printer is horribly slow doesn’t help things along.
(Disclaimer- I received this product for free and was compensated for writing this post. I was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are entirely my own.)
That is exactly why I was ecstatic- ecstatic– to discover The Homeschool Printing Company.
What is The Homeschool Printing Company?
The Homeschool Printing Company is a family-owned business created by homeschoolers like you and me.
Although the name of the business may insinuate that it is strictly a service for homeschoolers, this is completely not the case. Whether it’s printables, notebooking pages, planner pages, or a cookbook, The Homeschool Printing Company will print any document, as long as you send it as a PDF.
While not a full-service print shop, this company offers high-quality, yet affordable, printing of PDF documents, including:
- Black and white and color
- Single- and double-sided
- Spiral binding, and
- Single-sheet lamination
Placing your order is easy as pie!
All you have to do is enter your email address on their website, after which they will send you instructions on how to send in your PDFs and what they offer (depending on the time of year, their initial reply may take up to two business days). Following your order, they will send you an invoice online, and you’re good to go!
My experience with The Homeschool Printing Company:
Besides being a simple homeschool mom, I am a frugal homeschool mom. Because I homeschool such a large number of children, keeping costs down is an absolute must. So, initially, when I heard of this service, I was a bit skeptical because while I knew it would save time, I wasn’t sure if it would fit into our budget.
Boy, was I wrong!
For an order of 500 documents- some black and white, some color, and a 3-hole punch for around 300 of those pages, my total came to only about $37 plus shipping.
Can you say “frugal”? 🙂
Not only was this service cheap, it was quick! I received my order less than one week from the time I ordered it. (Although if you decide to order now, I’d give them a little leeway, as I’m sure they’re busier than usual with the new homeschool year at hand.)
I never expected to get it that quickly, but I was so excited when I opened it and discovered how beautiful my pages looked.
The care that was taken to provide an excellent product was so obvious when I paged through my order.
I cannot tell you what a relief it has been for me to not have to worry about standing in front of my God-awful printer for hours and hours every week. I’ve got a nice supply of notebooking pages, and my 4-year-old’s entire preschool curriculum is printed out.
All is right with the world.
