The Year-Round Schedule That Saved Our Homeschool

Year-round homeschooling

Back-to-school time is here for both traditional school students and a good portion of homeschoolers.

When we first started out on this journey, I thought I was obligated to follow the public school schedule for our district, so that’s exactly what I did. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the best fit for us, and it ultimately contributed to my bout with homeschool burnout in which I gave up and sent my kids back to school for two years.

Worst. decision. ever.

Fortunately, when I came to my senses and pulled my kids back out, I was armed with a new philosopy of homeschooling and a new schedule.

Today I’m going to share that schedule with you. 🙂

Homeschooling and education are my passion. It is my fervent hope to one day devote more time to creating content for you. If you’re interested in helping to make this a reality, consider supporting me on Patreon.

Thank you so much. I appreciate each and every one of you!

I'm Shelly, a Christ-following, homeschooling Mom of eleven children ( okay, not ALL children. My oldest is 23.) I met my husband right after graduation, and we've been together ever since. Though my life can be hectic at times... okay, ALL the time, I wouldn't change it for anything.

  1. Just wanted to tell you that I’m enjoying my school break and my 5-year-old son is too! 🙂 I’m accomplishing so much Christmas shopping and preparing for Christmas, STRESS-FREE! I’m loving this school year schedule! I’m so thankful you shared this with us! Because of this video, we started my son’s Kindergarten in July.

I honestly had no interest listening to this video, but I introduced your blog to my best friend earlier this year. Anyways, she watched your video this early summer, and had me watch it. So thankful she watched it! Now my best friend and I are using the same school break, thankful for you! Loving this school schedule! 🙂

Hope you are also having an wonderful December! And have a wonderful Christmas! 🙂
