This Is How You Know Your Brainwashing Is Complete

Bulletproof backpacks aren't enough to save your child.

Is it really August already? In just a few weeks time, children and parents all over the country will be gearing up for back-to-school time.

Unfortunately, the new school year will be starting on the heels of some very troubling events – two mass shootings, to be precise. Considering that schools have been targets of these heinous crimes in the past, it’s only natural that parents are concerned with how to protect their children, hence the topic of this post.

I’m actually going to be re-visiting a topic I covered last year – bulletproof backpacks.

(For commentary and a bit of ranting on an article covering this subject, watch the video. Ranting is my specialty. 😉)

Bulletproof backpacks???

I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that it completely baffles me that so many parents are turning to either bulletproof backpacks or bulletproof inserts to protect their children when they go to school, especially when homeschooling is not only legal, but SAFER.

Imagine how these kids feel. Not only are their parents signaling that they’re sending them into an unsafe situation – and they potentially are -, but children as young as 4 and 5 are being exposed to active shooter drills in the very place that promises them an “education.”

I know, I know. Shootings can happen anywhere. They’ve also happened at malls, churches, and movie theaters, just to name a few. Should we stop sending our kids to these places, too??

Here are two crucial differences:

  • These places are only visited occasionally, perhaps a few times a week, if that. On the other hand, students spend 30 to 40 hours a week at school for the bulk of the year.
  • These places are VOLUNTARY. School is not. It is compulsory. Unless you choose to homeschool, your children MUST attend.

Ask yourself this:

Why do so many people insist upon sending their children to an institution that they KNOW is unsafe?? The bulletproof backpacks being purchased are proof!

Why do so many parents prefer to subject their 5-year-olds to the emotional trauma of active shooter drills, rather than saying, “Enough,” and disenrolling their kids once and for all?

Why do so many parents ignore the evidence that schools are becoming more and more dangerous?

I’ll tell you why – because they have been indoctrinated to believe that school is the only way. They have been stripped of the ability to put 2 and 2 together and to think critically by the very institutions they’re adamant about sending their children to.

They have been brainwashed to look the other way and not rock the boat.

This is my wake up call to them:

Stop making excuses and save your kids. They are your responsibility, not the government’s.

Enough is enough. It’s time to wake up.

  1. 3rd try to comment lol Not sure why it keeps not letting me. 3rd times a charm maybe? 😉 I just posted on my IG about these backpacks then got the notification of this post. Spot on! I read an article today about them and was curious how much parents might pay for such a thing. 2 I found were over $200! sheesh.

    1. What if my kids want to go to public school? I have three children, we homeschooled for five years, and two of them begged me to let them go to public school. Our relationships were becoming very strained because they thought I didn’t know anything, so I just said ok and sent them. I was just at a loss on what else to do.

      1. Its okay Shannon you havnt done anything wrong, maybe you all needed a break and thats okay. I appreciate hearing your honesty and hope i can learn from everyones experiences in this new adventure. I’ve been realising that there might come a time when we all just have to say “right we are done with the learning for a few months, lets just have fun instead.”. Seriously adults take weeks sometimes months off of work in order to travel or just to reset the mind and recalibrate and im realising more and more that the kids are probably going to need that too.

  2. So glad you are speaking truth boldly! It is really so sad for these kids. I always thought school was the only way, oh how effective their indoctrination is! We will be starting our first year homeschooling this year! 🙏🏼

  3. A public school education is a one-size-fits-all education. I went to public school back in the mid 1960’s. Around the time that I started first grade, there was this really tough nun in our parish school, and my mother didn’t think she would be so understanding. Therefore, she sent me to public school instead. But she still sent me to that same parish school for religious instructions classes. My mother wanted both me, my brothers, and my sister to have a Catholic education. After all, it was her job to raise us all in the Catholic faith.

Well anyway, I had emotional problems when I was in public school. I was crying and carrying on in class and yelling at the teachers. The classes in both the Catholic and public schools back in the 60’s were just too large. And there were no special education programs in the public schools back then as well. Therefore, after fourth grade, I went to two different special education schools. The classes were much smaller than the public schools. The teachers were trained to deal with special needs students, and they give them individualized attention. And besides, I was better off in special education anyway. Both Catholic and public school teachers do not have the time to deal with special needs students.

The public schools are under strict control by the state and Federal governments; as well as the local school districts. They are under so much pressure to perform up to both Federal and state standards; especially the No Child Left Behind law. It’s all about test scores.

In a way, I feel sorry for the teachers. They have to deal with a lot flack from the parents, unruly students, an an unsupportive admininstration. And a lot of teachers end up leaving the profession altogether.

Let the parents educate their kids as they see fit!

  4. Hi there Shelly, i’ve been binge watching your YouTube channel for a couple of months now and first i think it is infuriating that they disable your comments. Secondly you are fantastic and thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing what you do for us parents out there looking for a different option. Im from Australia so things do work slightly different over here but thankfully home schooling is still legal although im not sure for how much longer if the gov realise just how many families are doing it. My mum does not support our choice to home school and has gone as far as trying to find legal reasons as to stop me, so having a lovely, well educated woke woman to look up to and share values and opinions with has been so very beneficial to allowing me the freedom to go ahead with my choice. Thank you for not being another cog in their system xxx
