Hello, I saw your video today. First time viewer. I don’t believe YouTube is blocking your comments. I had the same problem with my videos about a year ago. I then saw that the problem was in my own settings. You can change your settings to allow comments or not. I went back to my old video settings and changed the setting to allow comments. Now all of them are functioning just fine. I hope this helps.

YouTube is definitely blocking my comments. I tried re-setting my comments multiple times, and it does not work. I contacted YouTube, and they said it won’t work for channels that are considered “high risk.” Apparently, my channel falls into that category.

Thank you for this video, I shared it to my Facebook profile! I agree with you, and that is why I pulled my kids out of public school 3 years ago and now homeschool them (4 girls). They are learning so much better and are at much higher reading levels than their public school friends. It’s truly sad what is going on in public schools nowadays……

Ugh—Accelerated Reader! My son’s kindergarten teacher (and his first grade) told us he had reading comprehension issues because he wasn’t testing well. Then they would send him home with these gawd-awful books that he had no interest in. The system is broken. They are trying to get everyone to the same level and end up crippling the kids instead. My son, by the way, when he was six was reading Shel Silverstein to himself and having a good laugh. Thank goodness my husband and I are able to homeschool…

It makes me want to cry. This is why I created lessons and activities that encourage discussion between teachers and students and encourage students to think. How appalling for children to not be allowed to read at home. I’d be defying that crazy rule. And I agree with you that so much of what is done in maths doesn’t make it clear for kids. Maths is logical. Why don’t we teach them that? Good on you for having a say. We need more advocates for children’s learning.
