Although my own start into the homeschooling life all those years ago was a bit, um, rocky, some good did come out of it. I can use those experiences to help others. 🙂
Visit my channel today to find out 10 things I highly recommend you NOT do when you begin your homeschooling journey.
I'm Shelly, a Christ-following, homeschooling Mom of eleven children ( okay, not ALL children. My oldest is 23.) I met my husband right after graduation, and we've been together ever since. Though my life can be hectic at times... okay, ALL the time, I wouldn't change it for anything.

That is 100% truth right there. If I would have seen this 4 years ago it would have saved soo much time, stress and money… I went through all that too. I really needed to hear #10 because that is so encouraging, we do have this idea of what a great homeschooling day should look like but what we need reminding of is how blessed we are to have these gifts from God (our children) with us and raised by us. Enjoy the life we are living, stop and smell the roses and its not “good enough” its great enough!
Thank you for this video. I was struggling that I was not homeschooling because my 5 year old son has resisted all attempts at learning to read but I am realizing that’s ok as long as he is learning something small everyday. Truly encouraging for a relatively new homeschool mom. thank you.
Great advice!
