How We Homeschool American History WITHOUT Textbooks

For our family, learning the history of the United States is vitally important. Not only is it required by our state homeschool laws, but it can serve as a reminder of the once sovereign spirit the people of this nation once held. It can instill courage and inspiration in those of us living today in a world of ever-increasing tyranny.

In today’s video, I shared how we approach one of my favorite topics WITHOUT textbooks.

I'm Shelly, a Christ-following, homeschooling Mom of eleven children ( okay, not ALL children. My oldest is 23.) I met my husband right after graduation, and we've been together ever since. Though my life can be hectic at times... okay, ALL the time, I wouldn't change it for anything.

  1. Hi Shelly I really love your videos ! I am so grateful for all of the valuable information you provide. I have a bit of a dilemma. I enrolled my daughter in a home based charter school thinking it was homeschooling, but now that I know the difference we want to make the switch. My dilema is that the charter school provided my daughter with $1300 worth of curriculum and now I feel guilty to send it back. She’s only used 3 workbooks out of about 20 that they sent her. This is the only thing that is holding me back from switching immediately. What would you do?
