Our Homeschool Is Changing! Our New Curriculum Reveal!

Last week, I announced that there will be some changes in our homeschool. This is the first week we started implementing them, and so far, so good.

Today on my channel I shared all the new resources I’ve been so excited to use.

The “Homeschoolers Aren’t Socialized” Programming Is VERY Effective

Ahhhhhh, back to the old socialization stigma again. Just when I thought I was safe, the assumptions have jumped back into my life in a most ironic way.

People are so programmed to believe that homeschoolers aren’t socialized that they will ignore all evidence before them proving otherwise. They will ignore the exceedingly bad behavior of children who are NOT homeschooled and cling to the idea that it’s HOMESCHOOLERS who don’t know how to act or behave around others.

I happen to disagree.

Our Newest Funschooling Books!

I mentioned last week in a video that we’re changing things up in our homeschool. One of the things we’re doing differently is notebooking. Instead of our typical notebooking loop, all of my kids will have a Funschooling journal. They’re such a hit with my teens that I couldn’t resist.

Today on my channel, I did a flip-through of the Funschooling journals my littles and middles will be using.

Schools Are Asking 5th Graders WHAT??

The other day, one of my subscribers messaged me and expressed her concern over a survey her daughter had to complete at school last week. She included a link to an article about it. I was horrified.
It seems that lately schools have been working at a fever pitch to not only indoctrinate children, but to sexualize them.

Parents, if your kids are in school, you have to be vigilant. Better yet, if at all possible, save them and get them out of school NOW. Do you honestly think they’ll get any better? Experience tells us they’ll only get worse.

“I Can’t Afford to Homeschool.” | Let’s Talk About Priorities

I’ve held this in for a long time. In the past several months, I’ve encountered so many people who are upset over the state of our schools, whether it’s due to vaccine mandates, inappropriate curriculum, bullying, pedophiles school employees, etc. That’s completely understandable. People SHOULD be upset.

Unfortunately, most of these parents say they’re interested in homeschooling, only to instantly blow it off because they can’t live on one full time income.
I get it. There are a small number of people for which this is true…and I say very small. For the rest, their priorities could use some readjusting.

As a mom of 11, I KNOW how hard it is to live on one income. It’s a struggle, but in the end it comes down to what’s important.

Your possessions? Or your children?

Sometimes You Have to Change Your Homeschool, Even If It’s Working

As a seasoned homeschool mom, it can be too easy to think that you’ve figured everything out. Over and over again, I’ve said that if your homeschool is working, don’t change it. Well, I’m realizing that may not be true 100% of the time.

Watch my latest video to find out why sometimes you need to change your homeschool, even if it’s working.

Vlog: Giving Thanks During a Spiritual Attack

Today I publically posted another archived Patreon video. I recorded this about 6 months ago when I was smack in the middle of one of the worst periods of my life. A day or two after I made this, my daughter was hospitalized for the second time in 6 weeks.

I really debated about whether or not to make this video public. This was very personal for me, and I honestly didn’t want to relive it.

But…I decided to go ahead and do it for one reason – to encourage people. Even when you’re going through some really terrible stuff, if you’ve got Jesus, there will be an unexplainable peace and strength that can come from nowhere but Him.

If you’re going through a crisis, trust in Him. Believe that He is with you, because He is. Instead of saying, “You’ve got this,” I’m going to say, “He’s got this.” Lay it at His feet. You are blessed.
