Stop Complaining About Your Kids Being Home. Seriously.

Come on. You knew this was coming.

Parents, it is very unbecoming of you to speak as if the presence of your children is a nuisance. It’s time we had a talk…

I'm Shelly, a Christ-following, homeschooling Mom of eleven children ( okay, not ALL children. My oldest is 23.) I met my husband right after graduation, and we've been together ever since. Though my life can be hectic at times... okay, ALL the time, I wouldn't change it for anything.

  1. I completely agree! For years, I’ve seethed when parents make comments about wishing their kids weren’t around so much (and they act like it’s a big joke). Now that kids are dealing with so much uncertainty, it’s getting worse!
Kids need extra love, comfort, and support right now, not diatribes about how you’d rather not be bothered with them.
Thank you so much for saying this.

  2. Nice tirade but you left out the following. Kids do not obey their parents. Parents don’t want to or are interfered with by others in disciplining their kids. Kids want to call 911 if told what to do or disciplined.
