I’ve been told that I should stop talking about the schools since my kids are homeschooled and that I should “stay in [my] lane.” Well, guess what? Considering that the school system is socially engineering our future generation, it is 100% still my business, and I will not stop talking about it. As long as I have a voice to speak, I will use it.
I’m finding more and more similarities between the compulsory schooling system and the novel Brave New World. Today’s video is just some quick thoughts about the caste-like system in Huxley’s novel and what we’re seeing in our classrooms.
I remember a debate that I once had with someone who made the comment that, were in not for my public school experience, I wouldn’t even know how to #homeschool. They were right.
Just not in the way that they think.
When it comes to the reopening schools debate, one of the most popular arguments we’ve been hearing recently is regarding the mental health of the students. As usual, I’m going to share my (likely unpopular) views on the subject because, hey, that’s what I do. 😉
It’s extremely common for homeschoolers to be inundated with public school myths by people who disagree with their way of life. While they are often well-intentioned, the problem is that most of these myths are simply accepted because they have been repeated for so long. When you actually think about them and do a little research, it becomes plainly clear that they just aren’t true.
It’s time to tackle a few.
This is a video from the Patreon archives that was recorded on June 30, 2020. This was right around the time that all of the videos were coming out to “prepare” children for what school would be like. We were also being inundated with “slogans” (neurolinguistic programming) that were supposed to give a feel-good message but were in reality very Twilight Zone-ish.
This video is a step-by-step walk-through of how compulsory schooling has been engineering our children. This year has been a new phase.
I wish I could say that I’m glad that 2020 is over, but who knows what 2021 will bring?
We are going through a period of time in which record numbers of people are choosing to #homeschool their kids. While there are a myriad of reasons, one of the most common is that school just wasn’t working. That is the reason I’m addressing today, because if there’s one thing that you SHOULDN’T do in those cases, it’s to try to bring school home along with your children.
Over the weekend I wasn’t feeling well, so I had the occasion to watch a series of videos on The Sharpening Report with Josh Peck and Tim Alberino. Wow, did they get me thinking. Although I have certainly explored many areas in which the school system has (negatively) influenced our society, I never even considered this very important question: will school play a role in the coming of the one world religion? If you ask me, the answer is YES.
