As I was reading the essays in the back of The Underground History of American Education yesterday, I realized that not only was John Gatto awake to the history of compulsory schooling, he was awake to a lot of things.
Take Common Core for example. Mr. Gatto’s criticism of it goes far beyond the faulty academics of it and gets to the root of the problem – its purpose.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! It went by so quickly.
Time for me to get back to the nitty gritty and ruffle some feathers. 🤷♀️ I’ve been thinking a lot about the attitude people have when they see kids that aren’t in school, but should be.
It’s almost an automatic assumption that they must be up to no good, but I’ve got a different take.
I hate to say I told you so…but I told you so.
Earlier this week I made a video about how the elite/statists have a utopian vision of children one day being out of the clutches of their parents, only to be raised in schools/institutional settings by the government, instead.
In that video, I spoke about how the school days/compulsory ages are being stretched out longer and longer so that children would be under governmental control longer. You simply couldn’t make indoctrination happen any easier.
I also spoke about the plan to one day create public boarding schools. Another step towards the elimination of the family.
A couple days ago, Kamala Harris gifted us with evidence of everything I spoke about. I also came across some very disturbing information about public boarding schools.
Today’s video is going to be a little bit different. Over the past month or so, I’ve been getting so many encouraging emails from people who watch my channel, and these messages have helped me in so many ways. So…what I decided to do today is to share how I got to where I am – sounding the alarm – about public education. I’m also sharing one specific email I got which is a perfect example of why I do what I do.
Here’s the video I promised the other day when I shared the screenshots from the PSEA advertisement on Instagram. Apparently, YouTube doesn’t agree with what I had to say because they demonetized it before it was even published. Dressing boys in drag is just fine for ads, but standing up for families is controversial. Got it. 🤦♀️
As many of you are aware, one of the issues I am most vocal about is my criticism of the public education system. This isn’t something I do because I’m trying to make people mad. Inevitably, however, I do realize that my posts and videos are likely to ruffle a few feathers.
I’m okay with that.
Truth be told, I am far more concerned about getting the word out about the true purpose and history of the public school system. It is my firm belief that if people were aware of these things, at least some of them would think twice about exposing their kids to this toxic environment. (Sorry, but I’m not pulling any punches.) I’ve been thinking. If there was one thing I could change about the beginning of our homeschool journey…. okay… strike that. (Because, unfortunately, there’s way more than one thing I’d change.) Okay, let’s rephrase that… one of the things I wish I had done as a new homeschool parent was to take the time to read.
Seems simple enough, right? So simple, in fact, that you may be wondering why I now feel it would have been so important for me then.
I’m going to tell you why. Continue reading “A Must-Follow Reading Plan for Every New Homeschool Parent”
Well, I guess I was about due for another epic rant, but in my own defense, this was triggered by the atrocitious lessons being planned for 5 and 6 year olds in Wisconsin schools right now.
Apparently, they feel it’s perfectly normal to introduce graphic sex education curriculum to kindergarteners. Continue reading “There Is No Such Thing As a Good Public School”
The One Simple Solution to Saving Our Schools And Why It Will NEVER Happen
Sometimes the solutions that are the most obvious are also the most difficult for people to see. Take public education, for example. Our educational system has utilized the same methods of instruction that were instituted over 150 years ago when compulsory attendance laws were first put into place. Think about that. In all that time, the powers that be have found it completely unnecessary to rethink our country’s approach to education that was inspired by the Prussians, of all people.
