I’ve discussed the topic of preschool off on and for at least six years now (starting with my blog). Every day we see propaganda for universal pre-k and early childhood education everywhere we turn, but is it REALLY good for children? According to this study, the answer is just what I suspected.

Am I talking about deadbeat dads? Nope.
Absent mothers? Uh-uh.
Unfortunately, I’m referring to something that is often considered mainstream and is all too often heralded by the mainstream media.

There’s a disturbing trend happening in our culture today. In a world constantly chasing fame and fortune, parents have begun to prepare their children for this lifestyle at earlier and earlier ages. Gone are the days of teaching 4-year-olds how to tie their shoes and play with their dolls. The good ol’ days of letting your children run, explore, and use their imaginations is almost a thing of the past. We have now entered the Age of Overeducating Your Kids.
