I remember when I started homeschooling. I desperately wanted to see some examples of a typical #homeschool day, but every time I searched, I kept seeing the same thing: THERE IS NO TYPICAL HOMESCHOOL DAY.
I’ll be honest, that discouraged me a little bit. As lovely as blissful, spontaneous days sound, some of us NEED structure – even if it’s only a little bit, and there’s NOTHING wrong with that.
It’s been awhile since I shared what a homeschool day in our lives looks like. To be honest, writing this type of post exhausts me. I don’t think I ever actually realize how hectic things are around here until I write everything down and reflect on it. All I can say is, yikes.
Last month I published a post documenting a typical day at our house. Since the older kids had not yet started their new homeschool year, I decided to write another one that included more of what my teenagers do so you’d get a more accurate picture of what homeschooling is actually like at our house.
